JERKCURB TIMELAPSE TULIP

It's safe to say that South London-based songwriter/artist Jacob Read (pka Jerkcurb) has put out some pretty incredible tracks over the last 3 years. From 2016's reverb-drenched ballad 'Night On Earth', to further trippy List Picks 'Voodoo Saloon' and 'Little Boring Thing', we've been patiently waiting for the announcement of Jerkcurb's debut album here at TMR, which finally arrived today. Air Con Eden will be released on the 13th of September and if lead track 'Timelapse Tulip' is anything to go by, we're in for a treat. Channelling the laid-back jazzy vibes of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Read's intricate guitar work dances effortlessly around a deep-grooving bass line, which locks in perfectly with the track's bossanova-inspired beat. Elevated by ethereal backing vocals, Read croons his way through the increasingly surreal sections of the song. Coming complete with an ingenious 3D video directed by Gilbert Bannerman, the captivating clip is set inside a single apartment, providing tiny snapshots of a person's life.
